The Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has ordered the remand of Senator Ali Ndume, Chairman Committee on Army for his failure to produce, Abdulrasheed Maina, a controversial Chairman of the Presidential Pension Reform Task Team who was charged with corruption bordering on N2 billion police pension.

President Buhari says considering the weight of allegation brought against the anti-graft agency being headed by, Ibrahim Magu, the Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC), he had to order his probe. Buhari stated this while receiving the Report from the Panel of inquiry, headed by Ayo Salami, Ex-president of the Court of Appeal, promising that he would sanction any person or group of persons who aids corruption in his administration.

Lauretta Onochie, Special Assistant to President Buhari on Social Media, has chid the Cable Network News (CNN) over its investigative report it released yesterday concerning the Lekki shooting. Onochie was reacting to the report said the CNN lied to the international community and shall note that Nigeria as a government cannot be intimidated.

The Inspector-General of Police, Mr. Mohammed Adamu has directed the launch of the Police Campaign Against Cultism and other Vices (POCACOV) in Edo State, a statement from the POCACOV National Coordinator, Mr. Ebere Amaraizu has said. The statement, which was made available to newsmen in Enugu on Tuesday, quoted Amaraizu as saying that the campaign needed to move into Edo State and its environs and work with different stakeholders, to mitigate the high incidence of cultism and other vices in the state.
