The Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has today Okayed the repatriation of the Indigenous people of Biafra (IPOB) leader, Nnamdi Kanu from Kenya by the Nigerian Government. Nnamdi Kanu had last month filed a suit of N50billion before the high court alleging that the process followed by the Nigerian Government to bring him into the country violates the international standard of extradition. Justice Binta Nyako dismissed Kanu's claim in his suit, saying what the government did was the right thing because there was ‘a surviving bench warrant” for the IPOB leader's arrest and that is what the government did to parade him for jumping bail.

A Federal High Court in Abuja on Friday issued a ruling on the terrorism charges against Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB). The presiding judge, Justice Binta Nyako struck out 8 of the 15-count charge bordering on treasonable felony and terrorism filed by the Federal Government against Kanu.

The Federal Government has uncovered over 1,500 workers who joined the Federal Civil Service with fake appointment letters. The Head of Civil Service of the Federation, Folasade Yemi-Esan announced this during a National Policy Dialogue on Tuesday in Abuja, vowing to delist them from the Integrated Personnel and Payroll Information System (IPPIS).

Security operatives attached to the Dangote Refinery located in the Lekki Free Trade Zone, Lagos State foiled an attempted attack on the facility by suspected vandals. This was made known on Tuesday by the state Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin.

The Federal High Court in Abuja on Monday announced the rejection of the application bail filed by suspended Deputy Commissioner of Police and former head of the IGP Intelligence Response Team (IRT), Abba Kyari. The court also rejected the application by his co-defendants, with whom he faces charges of illegal dealing in cocaine, including ACP Sunday Ubia, Inspector Simon Agirgba, and Inspector John Nuhu. Other Defendants in the charge marked FHC/ABJ/57/2022, are; ASP Bawa James, as well as two drug traffickers that were arrested at the Akanu Ibiam International Airport in Enugu, Chibunna Patrick Umeibe and Emeka Alphonsus Ezenwane.

The Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) has yesterday arrested the immediate past governor of Anambra State, Willie Obiano few hours after he handed over office to Prof. Chukwuma Soludo. The Governor was nabbed by the men of the anti-graft at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport in Lagos when he was about to flee the country.
