The Nigerian Army on Monday said its troops had destroyed a Boko Haram insurgents’ training facility at Benisheikh, Borno. Col. Onyema Nwachukwu, the Deputy Director, Army Public Relations, Operation Lafiya Dole, made the disclosure in a statement issued in Maiduguri.

Emerging reports indicate that at least, 7 Muslims were killed and dozens wounded when two suicide bombers attacked a Mosque in Bama on Sunday morning. The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Northeast division however, disclosed on its Facebook page that causalities recorded were mostly male adults. The post also said the suicide bombers were male and female, believed to be between 13 and 14 years old.

The Nigeria Customs Service on Thursday said it has seized 1, 500 bags of smuggled rice and vegetable oil valued over N65 million in Kaduna. The Controller of Federal Operation Unit Zone B of Nigeria Customs Service, Usman Dakingari who stated this on Thursday while conducting newsmen around the seized items said the goods were loaded in two trailers and concealed using raw groundnut and ginger.
