The General overseer of the Redeem Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye has disclosed that eight of his church members whom were abducted some weeks in Kaduna state have been released by the terrorists. The cleric made the announcement today through his official twitter handle. Recall on 26 March 8 members of RCCG, Region 30, Trinity Sanctuary, Kaduna, while on transit to a programme near Doka along the Kachia-Kafanchan Road were attacked, on their way.
He said the freed victims have however been taken to the hospital for medical check-up after spending days with the beasts.
Adeboye wrote, “Today I got the exciting news that our brethren who were in the captivity of kidnappers have all been released and taken to the hospital for check-up and tests. Glory be to Jesus. We pray for lasting peace in all troubled regions of the country in Jesus’ name.”
The kidnappers had demanded the sum of N50million naira as ransom for the freedom of the abductees.
Meanwhile, the cleric did not revealed whether ransom has been paid by the church before the said victims were released by the kidnappers.
President Buhari government has been receiving criticisms from wide range commentators in recent time over the hyping of insecurity in the country, while government has said it is doing its best.
