The President, Muhammadu Buhari has suspended the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN) Walter Samuel Nkanu Onnoghen with immediate effect and appoints Ibrahim Tanko Muhammed as acting CJN.

The President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Mohammadu Buhari on Friday 25th January 2019 signed an executive order allowing private companies to build and be involved in the construction of federal roads in the country. 

On Tuesday 22nd of January, the council of state met in Abuja where it pegged the minimum wage to be at least N 30,000at  the federal level and 27,000 at state. Following this development, the Nigeria Labour Congress has swiftly and strongly rejected the latter adopted by the council.

The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has received a total sum of N2.6 billion for election security operations from the Federal Government. According to Dailytrust, the Comptroller-General of Immigration, Muhammad Babandede disclosed this during a briefing on the service’s preparation for the 2019 elections in Abuja on Thursday.
