The Director-General (DG) of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Maj. Gen Suleiman Kazaure has threatened to withdraw corps members from Bayelsa state if the security of their stay in the state is not guaranteed.

The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has notified air travelers that it has directed Air Traffic Controllers (ATC) to temporarily close the airspace whenever there is an indication of thunderstorm or microburst that may impinge the safety of flights.
