Former Chief Of Army Staff (COAS), Lt. General Tukur Buratai, of president Buhari administration has said the insecurity facing the country is a creation of the political class. Buratai stated this yesterday when he was sharing his experience while delivering a lecture titled “Public Service and the Imperatives for National Security in Nigeria” at the second stanza of 2023 National Public Service Lecture and the 65th anniversary of the University of Ibadan Alumni Association. 

In a foiled tragedy today, a private aircraft conveying the minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, on board crash landed in Ibadan, Oyo state after the jet experienced a hazy weather. Although, the earlier information gotten was that the private jet crashed, but it was later clarified that the airplane crash landed instead. At the time of filling this report, details of the incidence was still sketchy as the incident happened last night.

The Ministry of Works has revealed that two ramps of the Third Mainland will be shut down for repairs from the 6th of November 2023, for a period of five weeks. This was contained in a statement signed by the Federal Controller of Works, Lagos Engr. (Mrs) O. I. Kesha, stating the repairs commence from next week Monday. “In view of the above, the motoring public is hereby notified that the repair works will begin with the ramps connecting Oworonshoki to Adekunle and Lagos-Island (Adeniji Adele) to Adekunle simultaneously.

Human Right Activist, Femi Falana, SAN, has called on the inspector General of police, IGP, Kayode Egbetokum, to ensure that all police officers involved in mob action that lead to the hospitalisation of the Nigerian Labour Congress, NLC, president, Joe Ajaero, to be arrested and prosecuted. Falana was reacting to the statement by the police concerning the crises that rocked Imo state that lead to Ajaero arrest by the police.
