Following the unabated insecurity in Zamfara state, the state Government has dethroned two Emirs and their district heads for aiding the activities of bandits who engages in terrorizing their communities. The two emirs are that of Zurumi, Abubakar Atku, and Emir of Dansadau, Hussaini Umar. Similarly, the district head of Tsaba, Alhaji Suleiman Ibrahim was also relieved of his turban. The decision taken by the state government was made known through the state commissioner for Information, Alhaji Ibrahim Magaji Dosara, which he intimated to newsmen shortly after the state council meeting.

President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Abdulganiyu Olola Jaji as the new Controller General (CG), Federal Fire Service (FFS) with effect from Friday, April 22nd, 2022. The appointment was disclosed in a statement by the Secretary to the Civil Defence, Immigration and Correctional Service Board (CDIPB), Mrs. Aisha Rufai on Tuesday in Abuja. According to Mrs. Rufai, Jaji will be taking over from Acting Controller General, Samson Karebo, who took up the mantle of leadership after former Controller General, Ibrahim Liman bowed out of service.

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has today announced that its men have finally arrested a Drug Baron “Chief Afam Mallinson Emmanuel Ukatu”, Chairman of Mallinson Group, who has been on its wanted list. The Suspect is believed to be the Billionaire responsible for a drugs case that landed super cop, Abba Kyari in prison awaiting trial. According to a statement released by the Drug office through its Media Director, Femi Babafemi, Ukatu is behind the N3billion Tramadol deal involving Abba Kyari.

The Imo Police Command says it has arrested a suspected explosive Manufacturer who is making an Improvised Explosive Device (IEDs) for the terrorist militia, Eastern Security Network (ESN) who are the violent wing of IPOB in Uba Umuaka, Njaba LGA in Imo state. The police Spokesperson, Mike Abattem made this known while issuing a statement on behalf of the police today. 

The Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Dr. Boboye Oyeyemi has approved the redeployment of 46 senior officers, following the recent promotion of senior officers in the corps. The massive redeployment was disclosed in a statement on Friday by the FRSC spokesperson, Bisi Kazeem, saying the development was part of a routine exercise intended "to strategically reposition the officers for optimal performance".

The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Usman Baba has ordered the immediate deployment of additional operational assets to complement the efforts of personnel attached to ‘Operation Restore Peace’ in the South East. The IGP condemned the “recent spate of attacks on police officers, facilities and other police operational assets around the nation, particularly in the southeast” and such “unwarranted attacks would be strictly treated in accordance with extant laws.”
