President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, along with other top government functionaries on Monday at Eagle Square, Abuja, concluded the celebration for the 2024 Armed Forces Remembrance Day with the laying of wreaths in honour of Nigeria’s fallen heroes.


President Tinubu was the first to lay a wreath, followed by the Service Chiefs, the Senate President, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, the Chief Justice of Nigeria, amongst others.

Also in attendance for the event were members of the Federal Executive Council (FEC), members of the diplomatic corps and other dignitaries.

Part of the activities for the event was the signing of the 2024 Armed Forces Remembrance Anniversary register by President Tinubu, the release of white pigeons, gun salutes and more.

The Armed Forces Remembrance Day is an annual event organized by the Ministry of Defence to commemorate the fallen heroes of the country, who lost their lives while protecting the nation.
