The Department of States Services, DSS has disclosed today that they have arrested an Islamic state of West African Province, ISWAP, the commander who masterminded the recent bomb explosion that was detonated in Okene, Kogi state on 29th December when President Buhari visited the state. According to the secret police spokesperson, Peter Afunaya today, two suspects were arrested in connection to the terrorist attack namely; Abdulmumini Ibrahim Otaru, an ISWAP commander, and Saidu Suleiman.


The DSS revealed that the terrorists were arrested yesterday after a rigorous manhunt of the terrorists. 

Recall, the Vigil360 report on a terrorist attack where an Improvised Explosive Devise, IED, was detonated in Okene, Kogi state, on 29th December 2022, when President Buhari visited the state in an official capacity. 

President Buhari visited Kogi state on the invitation of the state governor, Yahaya Bello for the President to commission some projects his administration executed. 

The incident took place at a mosque near the palace of Ado Ibrahim, the paramount ruler of Ebiraland, shortly before the president inaugurated some of the projects.
