Trooper, Azunna Maduabuchi, has been sentenced to death by firing squad by the Military court marshal sitting in Maiduguri, Borno state. Macuabuchi was found guilty of Killing his officer, Lieutenant Babakaka Ngorji, an adjutant to his unit.
Recall in July 2020 at a war front at Bama LGA, Borno state, the said soldier shot dead his adjutant, Ngorji after denying him permission, welfare pass, to travel, claiming it was a provocation.
Consequently, today at the Maimalari Cantonment in Maiduguri, the Military authority court-marshaled Maduabuchi before the military court and was found guilty of the crime and hence sentenced to death by firing squad.
The Military authority said the judgment was in line with section 106 of the Armed Forces Act.
Meanwhile, four other Soldiers: Sergeant Sani Ishaya, Bidemin FAbiyi, Private Musa Bala, and private Abdulrasheed Adamu were also found guilty of the various crime and awarded various prison terms for manslaughter.
