President of the federation Muhammadu Buhari presides over a crucial security meeting in Aso rock with all the nation's security chiefs and relevant cabinet Ministers in attendance. Recall the president's spokesman Femi Adesina in a statement released on Tuesday 17th August 2021 that the president has slated a meeting for Thursday 19th August 2021 with security head-on plans to bring a decisive end to security challenges afflicting the nation and also to discuss successes achieved in the renewed onslaught against national threat across the country.
In attendance at Thursday's meeting were Vice president Yemi Osinbajo, Chief of Staff to the President, Secretary to Government of the Federation, Ministers of Defence, Justice, Interior, Police and Foreign Affairs also the National Security Adviser.
Others were the services chiefs led by the Chief of Defence Staff, Inspector General of Police, Directors General, Department of State Services, National Intelligence Agency, Chief of Defence Intelligence and other relevant stakeholders.
