Following hostilities melted on residents of Katsina state on Wednesday, President Muhammadu Buhari has directed the immediate reinforcement of security architecture in the state. He added that the culprit should be traced and arrested subsequently.

 

Presidential spokesperson, Garba Shehu, who read out the directive to press men, state that herdsmen and communities must stop taking the law into their hands.

“Herdsmen returning from the South due to the rainy season must respect the boundaries of farmers and villagers, while the communities must refrain from attacking herdsmen,” he said.

President Buhari commiserates with families that lost loved ones in the attacks from herdsmen, assuring the state that the security structure would be further strengthened.

He ordered security agencies in the state and all parts of the country to work towards preventing the menace.
