President Bola Tinubu has directed the minister of state for Agriculture and Food Security, Dr. Aliyu Abdullahi to roll out programs to ensure food security in the country and improve the life of Nigerian citizens. This program is part of the renewed hope agenda of the present administration because food security is a cardinal focus of the administration programs. The minister said these during a recent chat with media practitioners. Abdullahi said.
“It is expected to also play a critical role in the economy as a means of poverty alleviation and gender inclusivity.
“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is seriously concerned about our food security situation. Let me add that many times he would say to us his vision is for us to take Nigeria to a position where no man goes to bed hungry.”
President Tinubu's vision is to take food security to the next level, where no man goes to bed hungry.
The Federal Government of Nigeria's drive is to boost the agricultural sector to drastically reduce the high cost of standard of living.
The agricultural sector was a major contributor to national GDP before the discovery of crude.
