The Defence Headquarters (DHQ) revealed that several terrorist leaders in the North-Central region including notorious kingpins Yellow Jambross and Yellow Ibrahim had surrendered to troops.
Other leaders include Alhaji Mallam, Ardo Idi (Alhaji Lawal), Lawal Kwalba, Salkado, Gana’e, and Babangida.
This was disclosed by the Director of Defence Media Operations, Maj-Gen Edward, stating that “a non-kinetic collaborative effort with stakeholders have been deployed to encourage the surrendering process.”
He also disclosed that in the past week, troops had eliminated135 terrorists, arrested 185 suspects, and rescued 129 kidnapped victims.
He further noted that personnel of the Armed Forces would continue “to sustain operational tempo in order to destroy or cause further surrendering by terrorists.”
