Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, NNPCL, has today announced a reduction in its premium motor spirit price for the second time in one week. According to Vigil360 correspondent report observed that the state-owned oil firm has within a span of one week adjusted its petrol price to N890 per litre from N895.
Accordingly, the adjustment represents a N5 per litre downward price review when compared to its earlier N895 pump price.
NNPCL retail outlets along Kubwa Expressway, Gwarimpa, Gaduwa, Wuse Zone 1 and 4, and others across the city of Abuja have adjusted their pumps to reflect the new price.
This is coming as the NNPCL adjustment coming barely a week after the company announced a retail price slash.
While the state owned oil company outlets dispense fuel at N890 per litre, Dangote Refinery’s retail partners, such as AP Ardova, Optima, MRS, and Bovas filling stations are currently selling at N885 per litre.
The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria’s National, IPMAN, President Abubakar Maigandi while commenting on the development this afternoon said the fuel prices will continue to fluctuate because of the deregulation of the oil and gas downstream sector implemented by the current administration.
