Residents in Osun state were thrown into pandemonium this morning as six persons who have been tested positive for COVID-19 escaped from the Ejigbo, isolation centre of the state last night.
The six persons who were quarantined by the state government belong to a cluster of COVID-19 cases who returned to their hometown, Ejigbo, from Ivory Coast last week.
DailyTrust reported that an official of the state government confirmed the incident to them.
He said the Osun state government has launched a manhunt to trace, locate them and arrest the situation, saying the government cannot risk the lives of other good people of the state to such negligence.
