Four persons have lost their lives to Cerebrospinal Meningitis in Niger State, amidst an outbreak of the disease in the state. At the moment up to 31 cases have been reported with nine laboratory tests confirmed.
The State Commissioner of Health, Dr Mustapha Jibril, confirmed the case to journalists at a briefing on Wednesday.
The four deaths were all recorded in Katcha Local Government Area (LGA), Niger state.
Furthermore, two LGAs of the state are said to be affected by the outbreak including Katcha and Magama.
