President Mohammadu Buhari has revealed on the National Broadcast on 13th April 2020, that they will be an extension of the lockdown in Lagos, Ogun and the Federal Capital Territory by 14days more.
The initial 14days lockdown in the affected states began March 30th 2020 and was due to be lifted on 13th April 2020.
The President stated the extended days of lockdown was a difficult decision to take but was crucial at this point due to the "alarming" increase in positive cases of the deadly pandemic virus.
There are currently 323 confirmed cases of the virus in Nigeria, nearly three-quarters of them in Lagos and the FCT, and 10 people have died from the virus.
