Lagos State Health Commissioner, Akin Abayomi, has recovered from COVID-19 after testing positive. Gbenga Omotoso, Commissioner for Information and Strategy, made this disclosure in a tweet he shared. Meanwhile, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) announced that 138 more infections were reported in the last 24 hours, which is the lowest number of Cases In Four Months.
This will be the fourth-lowest after April 29 when 64 single-day COVID-19 cases were reported. Yesterday 138 cases is the lowest to date - affected states includes : Plateau-55; Lagos-15; Ebonyi-11; Oyo-11; Abia-8; Anambra-7; FCT-7; Rivers-7; Kaduna-6; Ondo-5; Kwara-3; Bauchi-1; Benue-1; Edo-1. The other three 146 cases on May 12, 150 infections on May 5, and 160 cases on August 28.
With 53,865 confirmed cases, 41,513 patients discharged and 1,013 deaths, Nigeria has one of the best recovery rates at 77.60% in the world.
