President Muhammadu Buhari has urged the Super Eagles to make Nigeria proud at the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) by clinching the highly coveted trophy. The President’s message was conveyed by the Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Sunday Dare who was represented by the Minister of State for Budget and National Planning, Clem Agba at a send forth ceremony held on Tuesday in Abuja.

Super Eagles ace, Emmanuel Dennis has claimed his Premier League club Watford “threatened” him over his participation at the 2022 African Cup of Nations (AFCON), holding in Cameroon. This was disclosed by Super Eagles caretaker coach Augustine Eguavoen. Eguavoen stated that Dennis informed him that his club threatened him not to feature at the AFCON.
