The African Cup of Nations (AFCON) concluded on Sunday, 6th February 2022 following the final match between Senegal and Egypt.

Liverpool coach, Jurgen Klopp has given his verdict on Egypt’s Mohammed Salah and his Liverpool counterpart Sadio Mane ahead of the clash their home counties will lock horns for the finals in the ongoing African Cup of Nations. Both Salah and Mane have projected their respective countries to get to the finals in the ongoing AFCON 2021 in Cameroon. Mane scored three goals for his country, Senegal, and recorded two assists, while Salah scored two goals and one assist for his pharaoh's countrymen.

Nigerian football legend, Jayjay Okocha, has hinted that Senegal will floor Egypt for the final game in the ongoing African Cup of Nations in Cameroun. The Taranga Lions will on Sunday go for the showdown against the Pharaohs of Egypt in the 2021 edition of the binary tournament. Pharaohs netted the host Cameroonians 3-1 in a penalty shootout to get to the finals while Senegal strolled past Burkina Faso during the earlier semi-finals that were witnessed on Wednesday.

Former African Football boss, Issa Hayatou has become victorious in his appeal of a one-year ban earlier imposed by FIFA against him for alleged breaching of the code of Ethics. The court of arbitration for sports made public it's ruling in favor of the Cameroonian seasoned football official on Saturday, declaring there was “insufficient evidence” to support FIFA’s allegations of commercial malpractice.

The Pharaoh of Egypt who is looking to extend their title to eight (8) defeated Africa Cup of Nations (AfCon) host, Cameroon 3-1 in a penalty shootout to book a spot in this years final against Senegal at the Olembe Stadium on Sunday.
