Gbenga Ogunbote who was appointed to coach Sunshine Stars F.C. in July of 2012 has returned to the club after leading the likes of Lobi Stars, Rangers international and Enyimba F.C to glory.

The 40-year-old former Barcelona, AC Milan and PSG star is now free to return to Brazil after spending 32 days in the maximum-security Agrupacion Especializada prison in Paraguay.  The ace superstar was arrested alongside his brother Roberto Assis, after entering the country with false documents at the Resort Yacht and Golf Club.

In the UEFA Champions League finals that played out yesterday between Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germans (PSG) club, Bayern Munich emerges the winner of the trophy for the season. Accordingly, UEFA will pay Bayern Munich €19million for winning the league ahead of the PSG. According to Express UK reports, the Europe top football governing body will also pay the PSG €15million for losing the final to the Munich.

FIFA has on Tuesday announced the cancellation of the next rounds of international matches set to take place outside Europe, saying the international matches will only be played in Europe in a bid to reduce travels for players due to the ongoing global pandemic. FIFA Council made this known on its website stating that cancellation was part of a unanimous decision by the Bureau of the council in the men an women's international match calenders, adding that the development will be replacing the window period of the men's calendar between August 31 to September 8, 2020 "with a window from 24 January to 1 February 2022 for all confederations except UEFA."
