UEFA has confirmed the away goals rule will be abolished from European competitions, with the change being put into place in time for the 2021-22 season. The away goals rule has been in place since 1965 but will now no longer be used to decide knockout matches in UEFA club competitions, including the Champions League and Europa League.

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has disclosed that it is considering launching the continents Super League and this will aid the development of football on the continent from infrastructure to performances on the global stage.
The Federal Government has appointed former Super Eagles captain, John Mikel Obi as Youth Ambassador in efforts to inspire young Nigerians. Denmark’s football star midfielder Christian Eriksen on Saturday collapsed on the pitch of Parken stadium during his country’s Euro 2020 game against Finland. The 29-year-old was seen receiving cardiopulmonary resuscitation at Saturday’s match in Copenhagen shortly after he slumped on the field just before halftime in their Group B clash with the Finns.
