England has reached their first men’s major tournament final since 1966 and first-ever European Championship Final after defeating Denmark 2-1 in a nerve-shredding night at Wembley and will face Italy on Sunday 11th July 2021. A Simon Kjaer own goal and a controversial Harry Kane extra-time goal was enough to see England through 24 hours after Italy edged Spain to the final through spot-kicks as preceding could not be concluded in normal time and in extra-time.

Argentina is through to the 2021 Copa América final following a dramatic semifinal clash at the Estadio Nacional de Brasilia which saw La Albiceleste beat Colombia 3-2 on penalties a day after host Brazil sneaked past a durable Peru side 1-0, courtesy of a goal from Lucas Paqueta in the first half.

Former Arsenal captain Patrick Vieira has been confirmed by Crystal Palace to succeed Roy Hodgson who left the club on 18 May 2021. The 45-year-old Frenchman has signed a three-year contract with the Eagles, who finished 14th last season.

Germany and Real Madrid midfielder, Toni Kroos has announced his retirement from the German national team after 11 years at a relatively young age of 31. The former German Footballer of the Year has achieved both individually and with the team. 

Former Liverpool, Real Madrid, Chelsea, Newcastle, and Dalian Yifang Manager, Rafael Benitez has returned to the Premier League having been appointed as the new Everton boss on a three-year deal, replacing Carlo Ancelotti who left Goodison Park to return to Real Madrid earlier this month.

Premier League newcomers Brentford is in the final stage of concluding a deal to sign Nigeria's and FC Midtjylland's midfielder, Frank Onyeka as they seek to strengthen their ranks and also to have a successful first top-flight campaign.
