Former Chelsea Defender, Nathan Ake who signed for Bournemouth last summer says 'it will be difficult to confirm if he will play for Chelsea again'. Ake has been talking about a possible move to the South Coast.
According to 90 Minutes, the 22-year-old spent the first half of last season on loan with the Cherries before Antonio Conte recalled him for the remainder of the Blues’ title-winning campaign. He made four starts under the Italian before deciding to make a permanent move to join up with Eddie Howe in the summer.
Speaking about his new club, the record transfer and the opportunity to play regularly, Ake told the Evening Standard
“That’s what I needed to develop; to learn, to make mistakes and to grow as a player and that’s what I think I am doing. I said that before the transfer that I always put pressure on myself and don’t feel extra pressure because of the money. I always want to perform. So I don’t feel pressure.
“Of course you want to perform, and you have to perform but the more you play, the more comfortable you feel. I always put pressure on myself but not extra pressure. On the prospect of returning to Chelsea, Ake said;
“I think it’s difficult to say now,” he said. “I just came to Bournemouth and I love it. I’m playing week in and week out and I’m learning – so it’s too far to look at that.”
