Kelechi Iheanacho scored Leicesters city winning goal in the fourth minute of stoppage time as foxes came from behind to beat Everton 2-1 to close the gap with league leaders Liverpool.
Iheanacho appearing in the EPL for the first time this season came on as a substitute, where he assisted League top scorer Jamie Vardy before slotting the winner himself. This will be the first time Leicesters city is cruising to victory on a sixth straight match since their title-winning campaign.
Richarlison gave the hosts a first-half and were bout securing a point for themselves, hence easing the pressure on underfire head coach Silva before Jamie Vardy’s 13th goal of the season levelled the tie.
Super Sub Iheanacho came on and played on the right before his cross was tapped in by Vardy to make the visitors pay for failing to find a second goal when on top. Former England striker Vardy has now scored in six straight games.
Iheanacho was again sent clear and curled into the bottom corner, only for the assistant referee to flag him offside, but VAR showed he was just onside to spark wild celebrations.
The Toffees will now head to Anfield for Wednesday’s derby with Liverpool with Silva clinging on to his job. Leicester had only lost to Liverpool and Manchester United this term before conceding the fourth goal against Everton.
