Gareth Southgate, England manager on Thursday called up Tammy Abraham and Fikayo Tomori, for their Euro 2020 qualifying games against Czech Republic and Bulgaria.
The Chelsea duo, by this call may dash the hope of Nigerians who had expressed optimism that they would commit their allegiance to Nigeria.
If they accept the invitation and eventually feature in any of the matches, they will not be able to represent the Super Eagles again.
Nigeria coach, Gernot Rohr, had admitted recently that Abraham and Tomori were not part of his immediate plans as they were yet to decide on their future. The list of players called up by Southgate include
