Kano Pillars moved to the summit of the Nigeria Professional Football League after a late Junior Lokosa strike helped them earn a vital 1-1 away draw against their hosts Enugu Rangers at the Nnamdi Azikwe Stadium on Sunday.
The four-time champions sit at the top of the standings with 19 points and extended their unbeaten streak to seven games.
Godwin Aguda put the Flying Antelopes ahead four minutes before the interval, his second goal of the season.
The hosts looked on course to end Sai Masu Gida’s six-match unbeaten streak before Junior Lokosa netted the equaliser three minutes from time.
It was Lokosa’s ninth goal of the campaign.
In Calabar, Enyimba jumped from fourth to second position following a 2-1 win against Sunshine Stars.
