Lille Football Club says they are confident Nigerian international, Victor Osimhen, will not only be a hit at the club but has the right qualities to become a league legend. The League’s official Twitter handle made a post, asking if the new Lille frontman will one day be as prolific as former African players who have played and succeeded in the league.

The players mentioned include Didier Drogba who played for Marseille, Emmanuel Adebayo who featured for Monaco and Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang who had a stint with Lille.

Reacting to the tweet, Lille’s official handle replied, “Most definitely.”

Osimhen has scored two goals in two appearances for Lille since joining from Belgian side Sporting Charleroi in the summer transfer window.

The Nigerian striker will be hoping to increase his goal tally when they file out against St-Etienne on August 28.

Osimhen has since been promoted to the Super Eagle.
