Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, has concluded plan to handpick internally not ‘big-name goalkeeper’ if Ederson leaves the club this summer. Ederson is being speculated with a move to Saudi Arabia, to join Al-Ittihad especially as the club is looking towards signing him.

If the Brazilian international parks finally, Guardiola will turn to his understudy, Stefan Ortega to step in.

Fabrizio Romano, a Football transfer expert tweeted today that ” In the event that Éderson left Man City to join Saudi Pro League, Man City’s starting GK would be Stefan Ortega.

“Talks City-Al Ittihad for Éderson ongoing but nothing done or easy.

“No interest in bringing in ‘big name’ as GK despite links with Donnarumma, Oblak and more.”
