Meta announced the launch of paid subscription plans for its flagship apps, which are WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram.

This development was made known on Wednesday, stating it was globally launching WhatsApp Plus, Facebook Plus and Instagram Plus.

According to reports, Facebook Plus and Instagram Plus would be priced at $3.99 per month, while the subscription fee for WhatsApp Plus is $2.99 per month.

This development witnessed a nearly 3 per cent rise in Meta stocks.

The company stated that Instagram Plus and Facebook Plus will unlock new features like wider audience reach, better analytics, story rewatch statistics, and profile customisation options, while WhatsApp Plus focuses on personalisation such as premium stickers, app themes and custom ringtones.
