The first purported official render of Google's upcoming Pixel 10a has surfaced online, offering an early look at the company's next midrange smartphone. The image, shared by Android Headlines, shows the device in what is believed to be the Obsidian colorway, with the leak arriving amid fresh speculation that the Pixel 10a could launch within the next few weeks. According to the report, the Pixel 10a appears largely similar to last year's Pixel 9a, with only subtle changes to the size and layout of the camera cutout, flash, and Google "G" logo. One notable difference, however, is the presence to be a bold red, Fog a muted cyan tone, and Lavender a light purple shade positioned between the Pixel 9 Pro's Rose Quartz and the Pixel 9a's Iris. While Android Authority said it would not independently verify the image's origin, the render "does look the part."
Previous leaks suggest the Pixel 10a will be broadly similar to the Pixel 9a in terms of hardware. The device is rumored to feature a higher-clocked version of the Tensor G4 chipset, the same camera hardware, a comparable, possibly identical, 120Hz display, and a 5,100mAh battery.
Quandt also indicated that the Pixel 10a could reach store shelves by mid-February, placing its launch just weeks away. If accurate, official confirmation from Google is expected imminently. Separate reports echo this timeline, noting that the phone may be available in Obsidian, Berry, Fog, and Lavender colorways, with 128GB and 256GB storage options.
Earlier leaks further point to a 6.28-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, a 48MP main camera paired with a 13MP ultrawide lens, a 13MP front-facing camera, 8GB of RAM, and a 5,100mAh battery. If these details hold true, the Pixel 10a may offer only incremental updates over its predecessor, aside from new color options, unless Google opts to equip it with a lower-performance version of the newer Tensor G5 processor, as has been speculated in the past.
