Following the EndSARS protest, President Buhari has advised the international community’s to be objective in their Judgement and stop rushing to make negative comments about the internal politics of Nigeria.
President Buhari made these remarks while addressing Nigerians yesterday, calling on the foreign countries to get their fact right before taking positions or rushing to media houses and making provocative statements.
The statement partly reads; “To our neighbors in particular, and members of the international community, many of whom have expressed concern about the ongoing development in Nigeria, we thank you and urge you all to seek to know all the facts available before taking a position or rushing to judgment and making hasty pronouncements.”
Recall that EU, UK, and Hilary Clinton had rushed to international media and made some comments which were half-truth about the killing of protesters at the Lekki gate in Lagos state by the security agencies.
However, the information later turned out to be a false accusation when the state governor in his press briefing stated that no one died during the security versus the protester's encounter at the toll gate.
