In response to allegations of misconduct involving handling cross-dresser Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, the Federal Government has directed the suspension of several officers overseeing the Maximum and Minimum Custodial Centres in Kirikiri, Lagos State. This follows an audio leak suggesting that Bobrisky, who was sentenced to six months in prison, was granted unauthorized access to an apartment outside the custodial centre.

Five individuals involved in the Offa robbery incidents have been found guilty six years after by a Kwara State High Court presided over by Justice Haleemah Salman, who stated that the offences are punishable by death. According to his media office, which announced the development in a statement on Wednesday, the decision was made after consultations with his family, legal team and political allies. In April, the EFCC had declared Bello wanted after he reportedly shunned a series of invitations and resisted arrest.
EFCC officials had stormed Bello’s residence in Abuja to arrest him, but there was a stalemate.
