The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) disclosed that three of its personnel sustained gunshot injuries during a raid in Abuja.This development was made known by the NDLEA spokesperson, Femi Babafemi in statement which said the officers were attacked at an uncompleted building in Jahi area of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, following intelligence and surveillance reports.

The death toll from the collapse of the roof of the renowned Jet Set nightclub in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic has risen to nearly 200 people. The incident which marked one of the country’s most devastating tragedies in recent history occurred around 1 a.m. on Tuesday during a performance by celebrated merengue artist Rubby Pérez and his orchestra. Authorities reported that over 300 people were inside the club when the roof caved in. Pérez’s body was found Wednesday morning, according to emergency services. Juan Manuel Méndez, director of the Emergency Operations Center, confirmed that at least 184 individuals, including two former Major League Baseball players, were killed. Although 145 people had been rescued alive by Tuesday, officials have not yet released a total number of injured victims. The number of people still unaccounted for remains uncertain.
The Lagos State Police Command yesterday arrested one suspected thug, identified as Friday Onu, after a viral video showed him physically assaulting a female commercial driver, Yetunde Amole, along the Lekki-Epe Expressway, Lagos. The incident took place near the Oriental Hotel, Lagos on April 7, 2025, at about 2:00 p.m. Onu was caught attempting to steal Amole’s car battery. Amole courageously prevented the theft, resulting in the suspect brutally assaulting her. The suspect was arrested by officers of the Maroko Police Division after the incident and detained at the division.
