Unknown gunmen stormed the Elyon Paradise Ministry Church Asagba Ogwashi in Delta State, Friday night during a vigil and shot the pastor identified as Apostle Divine Omodia. During the incident, the assailants also abducted six worshippers.  It was gathered that the pastor had two of his fingers cut off by the attackers before they whisked away the six members of the church to an unknown location. 

Convicted billionaire kidnapper kingpin, Chukwudumeme Onwuamadike, popularly called Evans, has told the Lagos State High Court sitting at Tafawa Balewa Square, that he was prepared to give up all his property acquired from kidnapping as a plea bargain agreement if the court could let him off the hook.

Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf has acknowledged to fully implement the recommendations of the Committee of Inquiry on the #EndBadGovernance Protest report of August 1, 2024 that ended in violence in the state.
