14 Chinese were found guilty and convicted on Friday for cyberterrorism and Internet fraud by a Federal High Court in Ikoyi, Lagos. According to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), the suspects were part of 792 members of a cryptocurrency investment and romance fraud syndicate arrested in Lagos on December 19, 2024.

A High Court in Lafia, Nasarawa State, has sentenced Oluwatimileyin Ajayi to death by hanging for the brutal murder of Salome Adaidu, a member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC). Presiding over the case, Justice Simon Aboki ruled that Ajayi was guilty of the murder and dismemberment of the 24-year-old corps member. Ajayi faced a single count of culpable homicide, which violates Section 221 of the Penal Code applicable in Northern Nigeria and carries the death penalty.

Operatives of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT Police Command have arrested Rev. A statement issued on Saturday by the FCT Police Public Relations Officer, Josephine Adeh said the G.O. was arrested alongside two other suspected accomplices identified as Nancy Atoo and Deaconess Vera Duru. She explained that on May 24, 2025, a distress call was received by the Gwagwalada Area Command from officials of Wazobia Motor Park, Gwagwalada, reporting a male exhibiting suspicious behavior while attempting to travel with a young child.
