The Federal Government secured the conviction of four Boko Haram financiers, awarding them some year’s imprisonment.

The Federal High Court sitting in Dawaki, Abuja convicted four Boko Haram financiers who are Modu Aisami, Umar Mohammed, Zana Zarama and Bunu Kame. This was disclosed on Monday in a statement issued by the Office of the Attorney General of the Federation, which stated that the prosecution team was led by the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF), Prince Lateef Fagbemi (SAN).

National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, Taraba State Command, has identified the State as a hub for illicit drug consumption.

Justice Hamza Muazu of the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), sitting at Maitama, Abuja, today admitted former Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Governor, Godwin Emefiele, to bail. The embattled Emefiele was arraigned before the court on Friday, November 17, on a six-count charge bordering on conferring corrupt advantage on a female staff member of the CBN, contrary to the provisions of Section 19 of the Corrupt Practises and Other Related Offences Act.

Justice Hakeem Oshodi, of the Lagos High Court sitting at Ikeja has today gave some diseased DSS officers justice, as one, Clement Ododomu is to die by hanging and his accomplice Tiwei Monday bags 16 years jail term. Mr Oshodi gave the judgement today after careful considerations of facts before the court and the ‘unremorseful’ demeanour of the convicts according to the judge. 

The Federal Government (FG) through the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Lateef Fagbemi said it has seized over N45 billion that was looted from the country, while also disclosing that financiers of terrorism has also been identified.
