Officials of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) searched the Abuja residence of a former governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai, on Thursday.
This was made known in a brief statement by his media adviser, Muyiwa Adekeye, stating that the ICPC officials arrived at the residence located at Aso Drive around 2pm and immediately began their search of the whole property.
Recall that on Wednesday, the ICPC’s Head of Media and Public Communications, John Odey, confirmed in a statement that the former governor was in their custody in regard to an ongoing investigation, but details were not made known by the Commission.
