The Benue State government on Thursday said there was fresh Fulani herdsmen attack on Umenger community in Guma Local Government Area of the State. The disclosure was contained in a statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to Governor Samuel Ortom, Terver Akase.
The statement read in part;
“The herders killed two and injured some of the farmers who had gone to get food from their farms.
“While we condemn this unwarranted attack, we expect that the killers will be apprehended by security agencies and brought to justice,” the statement reads in part.
