CJN: 8 New Supreme Court Judges Sworn In
The Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Tanko Muhammad, has sworn in 8 Justices of the Supreme Court of Nigeria, increasing the number of Justices of the apex court from 12 to 20. The CJN presided over the ceremony which involved the 8 new Justices taking the oath of office and oath of allegiance to the Nigerian Constitution. They joined the remaining 12 Judges on the bench after completion of their swearing-in. The newly inaugurated Judges who were recently elevated from the Court of Appeal bench include Justices Lawal Garba (North West), Abdu Aboki (North West), and M.M. Saulawa (North West).
