Nigeria's Service Chiefs, Senator In Closed-Door Meeting Over Delta Killings
Nigeria's service chiefs and senators are currently having a closed-door meeting with the Senate Joint Committee on Army, Navy, Defense, and Air Force committees over the recent killing of soldiers in Delta State. The joint committee chairman, Ahmed Lawan, said that the investigation hearing on the gruesome killing of military personnel in Okuama community in Ughelli South Local Government of Delta state, last Thursday, will take place behind closed doors due to the delicate nature of the subject. "I extend my profound condolences to the families of these fallen soldiers, their colleagues, and their loved ones. The military high command is already responding to this incident. The cowardly offenders responsible for this heinous crime will not go unpunished.
