The Department of States Services, DSS has revealed it has uncovered plan by some politicians across the country to mobilise student leaders, thugs and ethnic association to stage a violent protest in the country soon.
The secret police claimed the planned protest would be shrouded as a protest against the hardship being currently experienced in the country, but it says the real reason is to rubbish the Tinubu led administration.

The Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrims Welfare Commission, NPWC, Reverend Yakubu Pam, has called on Nigerian politicians in the interest of National cohesion and to support the government, has called on politicians to shun all narratives that are divisive in the country. The clergy made this call during weekend in Abuja, the federal capital while addressing newsmen on assessment of the Tinubu’s 100 days in office.

The Nigerian Labour congress, NLC, has today revealed its intention to shut down the economy for two days as a warning strike following the unabated suffering the removal of the petroleum subsidy has inflicted on Nigerians without succour. According to the NLC, the warning strike will be observed on 5th and 6th of September, i.e Tuesday and Wednesday of Next week, all things being equal. NLC concluded the plan to embark on the industrial action after its National Executive Council, NEC, meeting it holds yesterday in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory, FCT.

The Federal Government (FG) has announced its plans to decentralize fire emergency response centres with the view of improving fire response time. This was made known by the Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo during a familiarization visit to the Federal Fire Service (FFS) National Headquarters in Abuja, stating that the Service was instrumental in safeguarding lives and properties.

Minister of Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, says the administration has concluded plans to reintroduce monthly sanitation as part of strategies to keep the city clean. The Minister stated this in Abuja after a closed-door meeting with contractors handling different projects in the FCT.
