The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has commenced the rescheduling of the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) for 379,997 affected candidates. This process began on Thursday morning, following a press briefing in Abuja on Wednesday by JAMB Registrar, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede. He acknowledged that the recently concluded UTME encountered issues, impacting 206,610 candidates across 65 centres in Lagos and 173,387 candidates in 92 centres within the Owerri zone, which covers the five states of the South-East.
Prof. Oloyede stated, “The affected candidates will begin receiving text messages with details of their rescheduled exams starting tomorrow. I apologise and take full responsibility.”
A reprinted exam slip seen by our correspondent revealed that one affected candidate has been rescheduled to take her exam on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at 12 noon, in a centre located in Igando, Alimosho Local Government Area of Lagos State.
