The Federal Government through the Office of the Accountant-General of the Federation has penned February 17, 2025, as deadline for civil servants to validate their identity verification on the Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information System (IPPIS).

The Nigerian government uncovered over 6,000 citizens from the Niger Republic illegally obtained National Identity Number (NIN). According to reports, the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, briefed the Federal Executive Council (FEC) about this development, he also reportedly stated that the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) has deleted the 6,000 NINs obtained by Nigeriens from its database.

President Bola Tinubu on Wednesday has sent a condolence message through his spokesman, Mr Bayo Onanuga to parents, guardians, and families who lost loved ones in a fire outbreak that engulfed an Islamic school in Kaura Namoda, Zamfara State, on 4 February, 2025. About 17 of the Islamiya school children lost their lives in the fire.

Senator Oluremi Tinubu, wife of the Nigerian President Bola Tinubu, has donated N100,000,000 through her Pet Project (Renewed Hope) to families of those who lost their lives in the recent tanker explosion which occurred on January 18 2025 at Dikko-Junction, Abuja-Kaduna expressway in Gurara Local Council of Niger State. The First Lady who was on condolence visit to Governor Muhammad Umaru Bago, Niger State Governor, announced the donation at the Government House, Minna, yesterday, to commiserate with him and the people of the state over the disaster.

The newly appointed members of the Revenue Mobilization Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC), the Federal Character Commission (FCC), and the National Population Commission (NPC) were sworn-in by President Bola Tinubu on Monday.
