FCCPC Investigates Fare Rigging by Local Airlines
An interim review published by the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission on Thursday revealed patterns of price manipulation by certain domestic airlines during the December 2025 holiday season, igniting new worries about competition and consumer exploitation in Nigeria's aviation industry. According to the report, the development sparked new worries about market rivalry and consumer abuse in Nigeria's aviation industry. The commission's Department of Surveillance and Investigations issued the interim findings after announcing an industry-wide investigation in January.
