The Federal Government, through the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), has summoned Air Peace Limited over persistent flight delays and cancellations that continue to inconvenience travelers. In a statement released on Friday by Michael Achimugu, NCAA’s Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, the authority expressed concern over the airline’s ongoing operational challenges and emphasized the urgent need for corrective measures. This development follows a meeting at the agency’s headquarters in Abuja, where the Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Captain Chris Najomo, met with senior executives from Air Peace. During the meeting, Captain Najomo advised the airline to scale down its operations to align with the number of serviceable aircraft in its fleet in order to minimize disruptions and restore passenger confidence.

The United States Embassy has introduced updated requirements for Nigerian visa applicants, effective from April 22, 2025. In a statement released on Friday, the US mission stated that all applicants attending visa interviews in Abuja and Lagos must bring a DS-160 confirmation form featuring a barcode that begins with “AA” followed by two zeroes (00). This barcode must match the one used to schedule their interview online. The embassy stressed that applicants who present a mismatched barcode will be denied access to the consular section and will not be allowed to attend their interview.
