The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has concluded the recruitment exercise which it commenced last year which was made known in a statement issued by its Chief Corporate Communications Officer, Olufemi Soneye.
The Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume, has announced that Nigerians must now present their National Identification Number (NIN) to access social services. Represented by Professor Babatunde Bolaji, Akume made this statement while inaugurating an Inter-Ministerial retreat on the Nigeria Digital Identification for Development (ID4D) Project at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos. He emphasized that President Bola Tinubu’s administration is committed to ensuring digital identity for all Nigerians.
Former Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo narrated how he sacked his first daughter from his farm for coming to work late. Dr Israel was in company of the FMC, Abeokuta Medical Director, Prof. Adewale Musa-Olomu and members of his management team. “Shortly after I left office as Head of State, my first daughter, then at University of Ibadan, studying Veterinary Medicine was engaged on my farm to gain some practical experience during long vacation”.

The Nigerian government uncovered over 6,000 citizens from the Niger Republic illegally obtained National Identity Number (NIN). According to reports, the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, briefed the Federal Executive Council (FEC) about this development, he also reportedly stated that the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) has deleted the 6,000 NINs obtained by Nigeriens from its database.
