The family and legal team of detained leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, paid him a visit at the Department of State Services (DSS) on Friday, during the routine visitation exercise.

Kanu’s lead lawyer, Aloy Ejimakor, had earlier raised the alarm that both his legal representatives and family members were denied access to him at the DSS headquarters in Abuja.

However, Prince Emmanuel Kanu, the younger brother to Kanu, while confirming their visit, applauded the secret service for their professional manners and understanding.

Emmanuel Kanu also pleaded to the DSS to permit Kanu’s lawyers and family members to visit him twice a week.
