Veteran actress Rita Edochie has publicly criticized her colleague, Nneoma Ukpabi, over what she described as indecent dressing at the wedding ceremony of actress Ruby Ojiakor, held on May 31, 2025.
Ukpabi’s choice of attire, which revealed parts of her body, drew sharp criticism from Edochie and other concerned citizens, who expressed their disapproval both during and after the event.
Edochie emphasized that Ukpabi’s outfit was not only inappropriate but also reflective of a growing and concerning trend in the entertainment industry, one she believes is contributing to the erosion of moral values and societal respect.
“What will your children think when they see this on social media?” Edochie questioned. “Madam, dress your age. You looked tacky—very tacky. You can still present yourself attractively while being decently covered.”
