Paternity Test: 1 in Every 4 DNA Test Not Biological father In Nigeria – Report
A new report by Smart DNA Nigeria has revealed that about 25% of paternity tests (i.e 1 in 4) conducted in Nigeria returns a negative result, an alarming paternity crisis and deepening trust issues within Nigerian families. According to the report, in 2025 alone, an Annual DNA Testing Report released within this week, at the Lagos-based genetic testing company revealed that 25 per cent of paternity tests conducted between July 2024 and June 2025 were proved fraudulent, they tuned out that the presumed fathers were not actually biologically related to the children in question.
